Day 10 – White

I made the wrong lens selection when we left for our walk with the boys. While the 150 f/2.8 is quite a fast lens, at its length the dusk of a gray winter day is challenging. Only by underexposing was I able to get the shutter speed fast enough to hand hold a couple of shots. After editing this seemed like the best option, especially when considering Photo Friday’s theme for this week.

I spent a large chunk of the day going through pictures from two dog shows. If retrievers (mainly black flatcoats) running around a show ring happen to interest you, go on to our gallery. Photographically they aren’t all that special – indoor dog shows and black dogs…

3 rambles from others

  1. Nicely minimalistic.

  2. I know the problem. I have the same lens, and although I like it, I use it almost never. It sits on ashelf in Carinthia, neatly stowed away in its case, and I could as well sell it.

    Hmm … maybe it’s simply a summer lens :)

  3. @Andreas: Quite possibly it is mainly a summer and studio lens. But I really like it when there is enough light to use it.
