Day 46- Heat

-15 C outside means that we need to generate heat. Our huose, like many in Finland, gets its heat at least partially from burning wood in a masonry oven. The oven also serves as an excellent place for food preparation or a substitute for a microwave oven (at least during the cold season). In fact, all of our electric heaters are set to 16-19 C. Their function is to only even out the temperatures and not so much heat. 250 C is what we typically heat the oven to, but sometimes we might go for over 350 C if need be.
