A lifelong dream

While I don’t consider myself to be overly patriotic, a lifelong dream of mine has been to the Finnish flag in my own yard. Being immigrants, my parents never felt the need to fly a flag on flag days. Considering my views and background, UN day was a fitting time to start raising a flag in our own yard.

Of course, I should thank my in-laws for the flag and fixing the flag pole, which I procrastinated with for a year and a half.
