The eaves are dropping

In Finnish we have a saying “räystäät tippuu,” which literally means the eaves are dropping. It’s used when the snow on roofs starts to melt in the spring sunshine – one of the signs that suns heat will take us to summer.

icicles original This shot was taken in the light of one of our yard lights. I tried finding a good white balance, but in the end I gave up and shot with auto white balance and used Lightroom to correct the colors. Maybe sometime I’ll try to figure out the correct temperature for the light. The shot attached is what I started out with before I played around with the white balance, tinting and curves.
